THE BIG MO DRIVE-IN



CHALLENGE:  Drive-in movie theaters are undeniably dying. Due to streaming services, even regular movie theaters are dying. There are only 321 drive-in movie theaters left in the US when there were over 4,000 in the 1950s. The Big Mo is a drive-in theater in Monetta, South Carolina that needed to attract a larger audience.


IDEA:  Drive-in theaters create such a better movie experience than sitting on the couch at home “Netflix and Chilling.” Creating a short documentary for the Big Mo allows viewers to realize that the experience is important and somewhat lost in our day and age. My partner, Olivia, and I wanted to use the old-fashioned drive-in to capture the nostalgic experience that is lacking in our modern world.
